Miya Masaoka's appeals to me because of its simplicity. The Big Idea in her artwork is nature. The great detail in her work although its simple is astounding. I like how her work is in black and white. I feel like it adds to the meaning of the images. I want to know she chose cockroaches and bees in these images. I think the use of cockroaches is to further accentuate the contrasts in these images, just like the black and white does. If I remember to keep things simple, my artwork will have a greater impact than if there is a lot going on.

The artwork done by Maciej Hajnrich is very interesting. There are bold and bright colors and lots of details. I believe that the Big Idea is chaos. I think that because there is a lot going on in all the images but they come together to form nice images. One thing I can learn is to be bold and daring and try new things.
